Stacy began her journey as Nurse Practitioner in 1981. Her experience has included roles as clinic supervisor, educator, infertility services coordinator, staff clinician, and independent practitioner. Since 1995, her focus has been on the integration of traditional and alternative healthcare services. In 1999, Stacy began studying Jin Shin Jyutsu, the ancient healing art form of touch therapy that balances the energy flows in the body.
Her
philosophy: Develop the best solutions for the healthcare needs of each client.
Getting to the source of each woman’s complaint is Stacy’s goal. Common
problems are hormone imbalance, incontinence, insomnia, painful or irregular periods,
PMS, fatigue, bowel problems, and food allergies.
Stacy
emphasizes the importance of Functional Medicine – the integration of exercise,
healthy eating, stress reduction, and supplementation – while caring for the
whole woman. Her clients range from a young girl having her first gentle pelvic
examination to a woman experiencing the complexities of menopause.
Stacy
uses salivary and serum testing for hormones – and uses bio-identical hormones
and herbal formulas to relieve PMS and menopausal symptoms. These treatments
have been known to greatly improve a woman’s quality of life.
A graduate of the Women’s Healthcare Nurse Practitioner Program at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, Stacy has enhanced her skills in the areas of abnormal bleeding, chronic pelvic pain, endometriosis, fibroids, interstitial cystitis, painful intercourse, and vulvodynia. These skills evolved under the guidance of Dr. Deborah Metzger (www.HarmonyWomensHealth.com), the reproductive endocrinologist and gynecologist who serves as Stacy’s medical consultant.
