Women’s Health Care

Health care specifically for women often begins after the first menstruation. An initial visit to the Nurse Practitioner consists of education about how her body functions, recommended eating and exercise habits, information about sexually transmitted diseases (STD’s), contraceptive choices and may include a pelvic examination. Each young woman is treated with respect and there is confidentiality between the patient and her practitioner.

As women age, education expands to include issues such as: PMS, breast health, stress management, sexual dysfunctions, infertility, insomnia, irregular cycles, fibroids, irregular bleeding and more. Annual Pap smears (the test for cervical cancer) are recommended. STD screening is advised on a personal basis, as are contraceptive needs.

Peri-menopause and Menopause may present with a variety of symptoms, most of which are very normal. Treatment options I offer consist of herbal supplements and bio-identical hormones. Numerous tests are advised at this mid-life stage in a woman’s life.

Our personal mission is to partner with each client to find the best choice for her treatment needs. We educate women and empower them to be health advocates for themselves.

Obstrical care is not offered at Whole Health Associates. Referrals, however, are gladly given!
